Highly Intelligent Robot
The humanoid robot LOCH is Singapore's first full-sized humanoid robot with 40 degrees of freedom, which can undertake human-like biped walking and human-like manipulation/grasping. Its head has a built-in stereovision which enables it to do human-like perception.

TECHNOLOGY
Our products integrate a range of cutting-edge technologies such as biped walking, manipulation, grasping, cognitive vision, and cognitive linguistics. We have won a best paper award in 2008 for our biped walking techonology which outlines the complete phases of a biped walking cycle. In the area of visual perception, we have developed some best algoithms of vision-guided maneuvers/behaviors of robots/vehicles. In addition, we have come out the complete blueprint underlying the transformation from visual signals to the cognitive state of knowing the meanings behind these signals. In the area of conversational dialogue using human language, we have designed and implemented a complete blueprint which enables robots to use human languages to converse with human beings.
